Inspired by ’80s body-horror films, Undress Me explores social anxiety through a gruesome horror lens. It had its World Premiere at the first ever Final Girls Berlin Film Festival, which showcases women-directed horror films. Currently at the start of its festival circuit, Undress Me has screened at the Fright Night Theatre Film Festival, the Chattanooga Film Festival, the Portland Horror Film Festival, and was chosen to be included in the 2017 Etheria Film Night World Tour.
Undress Me Synopsis:
Undress Me follows Alice, a socially awkward freshman desperate to fit into college life. A chance encounter at a frat party sets into motion a series of horrifying events, culminating in the mysterious deterioration of Alice’s body. Alice soon finds herself in a spiral of gruesome self-destruction and returns to the frat house in order to confront the person she believes is to blame for her physical decay.
Shot on location in Montreal, Undress Me stars local talent Lee Marshall (19-2, UPLOAD:U) and boasts impressive practical make-up effects by Kaye MacDonald. It features an original score by Mitchell Westcott (RadioVoid), as well as tracks by Boreal Network, Deathray Bam!, Gem, and Dark Warble.
Undress Me is written and directed by Montreal-based filmmaker Amelia Moses, a recent graduate of the renowned film production program at Concordia University. Her next project (produced by Hugues Barbier) is a feature-length film called, Bleed With Me, which is a cabin in the woods/psychological horror film set in the depths of the Canadian winter.
