In a little over a week, Jon Jones will finally step back inside the UFC Octagon for an attempt to get back his belt in a highly-anticipated rematch with current light heavyweight champion, Daniel Cormier.
The feud between the two fighters is strong as ever. Since the rematch was first announced, both men have took multiple stabs at each other to promote the fight. During UFC’s summer kickoff press conference, things got heated again after Jones said something about Cormier’s kids backstage. But the champ followed up with a blow, calling Jones a steroids user and cocaine abuser at the presser.
Cormier said,
Is this guy really going to go to the fight? Is this guy going to mess this up again by doing steroids or snorting cocaine or sandblasting prostitutes. What’s this guy going to do to mess this up this time?
Obviously, this didn’t sit too well with Jones, who claimed to beat Cormier in their first fight after weekend of cocaine.
Jones responded,
Prostitutes? I beat you after a weekend of cocaine
However, the war of words didn’t stop there. This week, Jones unleashed another barrage of insults. The latest one pocking fun at Cormier in an Instagram post for his infamous towel trick at UFC 210. In addition, Jones also called his opponent a cheating asshole via a hashtag.
UFC 214: Cormier vs. Jones 2 will be held on July 29, 2017 at Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
