Once again, it wasn’t a successful weekend for one of UFC’s longest active fighters, Donald Cerrone. In the main event of UFC Fight Night 118, “Cowboy” got dethroned early by a younger and perhaps more versatile fighter known as Darren Till.
Following a two-fight losing streak, Cerrone took another beat down by Till, who proved to have a better game plan than his opponent and out struck “Cowboy” in the very first round. Till ended up winning the fight via TKO at 4:20, which also earned him the Performance of the Night award.
Shortly after the bout, Cerrone confirmed his nose broke during the round and congratulated Till for his “great game plan.”
One hell of a job @darrentill2 safe to say you broke the fuck out my nose ?!!! I don’t make excuses nor will I ever. You had a great game plan and executed it perfectly. I did not over look nor take you lightly. So again congratulations.
Till, 24, inked a new five-fight contract with the UFC in August. The English mixed martial is currently riding a stunning undefeated streak in MMA. He holds notable wins over Wendell de Oliveira, Jessin Ayari, and Bojan Veličković, just to name a small few.
