Legend of the Seagullmen will be taking the stage for a sold-out this New Year’s Eve in Oakland, CA supporting the mighty Primus. The genre-destroying super-group features director Jimmy Hayward on guitar, Danny Carey of Tool on drums, Brent Hinds of Mastodon on guitar, the mysterious David “the Doctor” Dreyer on lead vocals, Pete Griffin of Dethklok and Giraffe Tongue Orchestra on bass, Chris DiGiovanni on synth, and Tim Dawson on additional guitar.
Unfortunately, Brent Hinds will not be able to take the stage at this performance due to a family emergency. He is deeply disappointed but will be present at all future Seagullmen shows, and his replacement is a special secret guest “personally approved by” the guitarist.
The band will be selling limited-edition event posters commemorating the special evening. Created by Jason Deamer, they will be available while supplies last.
Legend of the Seagullmen release their self-titled debut album on February 9, 2018, via Dine Alone Records. Pre-orders for the album are available here. (Limited edition bundles include drumsticks hand signed by Danny Carey, along with band jewelry!)
The first single, “Shipswreck,” from the album can be heard here on Yell! Magazine.
Joining forces to make cinematic psychedelic rock, the Seagullmen sing of shipwrecks and giant mutant squid, crafting conceptual rock ‘n’ roll hymns of epic proportions on their full-length debut, Legend of the Seagullmen.
