Like Me, the debut feature from writer/director Robert Mockler, will find its way to theaters on January 26, 2018. Going off the trailer alone, it looks like Like Me crosses into territory created by Gaspar Noe in his Enter the Void film. If you liked that film, there’s probably a high probability that you’ll like Mockler’s film as well.
Like Me stars Addison Timlin (Fallen, Little Sister), Ian Nelson (The Boy Next Door, The Hunger Games, Larry Fessenden (Habit, Wendigo, Stake Land, The House of the Devil), and Jeremy Gardner (The Battery, The Mind’s Eye).
Robert Mockler’s visually arresting debut feature, produced by indie horror veteran Larry Fessenden, takes the viewer into a world of fabricated personalities and offers a thought-provoking portrait of isolation in our increasingly digital world.
Like Me Synopsis:
A reckless loner (Addison Timlin) sets out on a crime spree that she broadcasts on social media. After releasing a video of herself robbing a convenience store, she amasses a huge following. While traveling along the coast, she encounters a drifter, an Internet troll, and a paint-huffing outsider who are all pulled into her circle of chaos, junk food, and drugs.
