Following the successful screening of RKSS’ latest film Summer of ’84 at Sundance 2018, the Montreal trio is now officially attached to direct the live-action adaption of Amos Daragon. A film which will be entirely based on the 12-book fantasy series of the same name by Québec author Bryan Perro.
AMOS DARAGON follows the adventures of 12-year-old Amos Daragon and his companions Beorf, Lolya and Medousa as they journey to find four masks that harness the forces of nature. With the power of the masks, they can defeat the evil villain who threatens their world.
Anouk Whissell, François Simard and Yoann-Karl Whissell, aka RKSS, broke cinema grounds in 2015 with their feature length debut, Turbo Kid. The post-apocalyptic film was a hit in the film festival circuit at that time and quickly became a cult favorite for many horror and sci-fi fans. Summer of ’84 appears to be equally as impressive with multiple sold out screenings so far.
According to the press release, RKSS’ visual style and creativity will lend perfectly with Perro’s universe on the big screen.
