UFC 227: T.J. Dillashaw Takes Out Cody Garbrandt

UFC 227: T.J. Dillashaw vs. Cody Garbrandt

T.J. Dillishaw did it again! But this time around the rematch with Cody Garbrandt didn’t even make it past the first round.

Dillashaw, who knocked out Garbrandt in the second round of their first match at Madison Square Garden last November, got the job done again in the opening minutes of their second encounter Saturday night. Dillashaw figured out Garbrandt’s technical problems within the first round of their wild encounter at the Staples Center and retained his UFC bantamweight title via TKO.

In the UFC 227 post-fight presser Dillashaw said,

I think he has some technical problems that he needs to fix, and I really don’t believe he’s got a chin. He plays a dangerous game. He likes to get in there and he likes to slug it.

Following the victory, the two-time champion accepted the callout from new UFC flyweight champion Henry Cejudo, who, after defeating Demetrious Johnson at UFC 227 wanted to go up to 135 pounds and challenge Dillashaw.

You want that, let’s bring it, baby.
