In less than a week from now, England’s Darren Till will finally square off with Tyron Woodley at UFC 228. Ahead of the highly-anticipated welterweight title fight, it appears like Till has an obvious size advantage over Woodley.
Both men faced each other for the first time in Los Angeles a few weeks back and even Till later admitted that he was “a little bit” surprised by his size difference during a media scrum in Las Vegas.
Till said this week,
A little bit, I think, as I’ve said a few times now, I just make myself look big; I puff my chest out, I put my arms up in the air. It was that stance that made me look bigger. I was, on that day, significantly bigger than Tyron, I just think, with his top off, Tyron is a big guy. His chest is buff, he’s got big arms and huge legs. In the Octagon there will be a slight difference, but not massively because he is a big dude.
The English mixed martial artist is currently known for missing weight in the UFC, which has Woodley and the promotion concerned for the upcoming event. Till already missed weight against Stephen Thompson at UFC Liverpool and against Jessin Ayari at UFC Fight Night 109. Both fights ended via decision for Till. His best performance to date was when he face Donald Cerrone in October 2017, Till won the bout via TKO in the very first round.
UFC 228: Woodley vs. Till takes place on September 8th at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.
