The horror movie universe was buzzing hard about finally being able to enjoy Cherokee Creek, the raunchy Bigfoot horror/comedy that has received rave reviews from fans and critics. The film recently hit Video on Demand formats like iTunes, Google Play, Vudu, and Amazon and was quickly moving up the ranks. Enjoying a very successful pre-order campaign on iTunes, the film reached the #3 spot for December 25th releases, only behind Halloween and Goosebumps 2.
It seems odd Amazon has deemed Cherokee Creek “too offensive” for streaming. Even though the film features both male and female nudity (and tons of gore), there are many films such as Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Get Hard, Hall Pass, Blockers, and Baywatch that feature male frontal nudity and countless films that feature female nudity that stream for free on Amazon.
Todd Jenkins directed and stars in the film, along with producer and co-star Billy Blair II. Billy Blair fronts Dallas, Texas, rock group Junk (Zombie Shark Records) and has appeared in films such as Rob Zombie‘s upcoming horror flick 3 From Hell, as well as Alita: Battle Angel, Machete, Machete Kills, The Last Stand, Jonah Hex, and Sin City: A Dame To Kill For, and many more.
Cherokee Creek Synopsis:
What starts out as a million dollar trophy hunt at Cherokee Creek for the legendary Bigfoot, quickly turns violent when they realize that the mythical creature is more prepared and dangerous than they ever anticipated. Some weeks later, a group of friends decide to throw a surprise bachelor party for their friend in these very woods. After some wild partying and a few unexpected twists, our group finds out the truth about Cherokee Creek and the very territorial beast that roams these woods. Equal parts vulgar, gore, and comedy, Cherokee Creek is a can’t miss tale of debauchery and sasquatchian horror!
