First off, Paul W.S. Anderson needs to lay off on the 3D aspect for Resident Evil: Retribution. I understand RE is a perfect franchise to combine this technology, but Anderson and RealD 3D just don’t mix well. In fact, it’s a disaster in the making. Just compare the first Resident Evil film with Resident Evil: Afterlife, and it’s like comparing apples with oranges.
It’s true, you can say I’m definitely not a fanboy of his work, especially AVP, but I understand Anderson has obvious potential in the visual department, and delivers a solid story. Look at Event Horizon, for example, there you have a great horror story in space, to talk about with friends. So Anderson, what the hell has happened to you since?
Lay off on the 3D flying objects already!
Sorry guys, it’s Friday, and I just wanted to vent a little. The bosses have cut off the AC, and it’s steaming in here.
Anyway, new photos for Resident Evil: Retribution were released yesterday. We still want to share the RE love with you that deals with Milla Jovovich and Michelle Rodriguez. Not so much Paul W.S. Anderson.
Retribution hits the big screen on September 14, 2012.
