Fight Deal Between Floyd Mayweather Jr. And Manny Pacquiao Is Still In The Works

Boxing fans from around the world may have heard yesterday that the biggest match up in modern day boxing is a done deal, but in reality, it’s not. Mayweather vs. Pacquiao is still in the works folks.

Sources tell SI that a Mayweather-Pacquiao deal is not done yet, as TMZ reported. Inching closer and both sides optimistic. But not done, Mannix Said on his twitter.

Many new reports are saying that TMZ is pretty much jumping the gun on the boxing bout. However, an announcement is expected to come in the next few days once the deal is officially completed for the mega-bout between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao. As of right now, Pacquiao’s advisor, Michael Koncz, has dismissed that the fight is done. But rest assure that progress is being made.

Absolutely, progress has been made, but don’t celebrate crossing a minefield until you get all the way across, said Stephen Espinoza, Showtime’s sports executive vice president and general manager.

Mayweather vs. Pacquiao is currently being negotiated to take place on May 2, 2015 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
