Yes, we all like the nuanced neo-genre of 8-bit heavy metal, but the shelf life of your attention is, if you’re anything like me, short-lived. But if those 8-bit melodies were combined with something as varied as System of a Down and Cake and a host of other influences, would your attention wane so quickly? Doubtful, and Pseudo/Sentai is here to prove it with their five-years-in-the-making debut album, Bansheeface. Colin Marston co-produced the album — handling all the engineering, mixing, and mastering — and you can hear it in its entirety over at Metal Sucks.
Pseudo/Sentai will autonomously issue Bansheeface on Earth-based digital platforms this Friday, October, 16th. Pre-orders for the record can be placed via Bandcamp.
