Floyd Mayweather Jr. is ready to step out of retirement for a nine-figure payday. That’s exactly what he wants right now and he believes he can achieve it by boxing a UFC superstar.
Speaking with Showtime’s Steve Farhood on Friday night, Mayweather continued to spread the rumor on the potential match up with Irish sensation Conor McGregor and a possible return to the four-cornered ring. In fact, Mayweather said the fight is not a rumor because it might actually happen sooner than later.
Well, it’s really not a rumor. The fight may happen. We really don’t know as of right now. But do I think the fight will happen? Absolutely.
Following the interview, McGregor responded to it on Saturday via Twitter.
