Floyd Mayweather Says Conor McGregor Fight Still Possible [VIDEO]

Following the massive UFC 205 announcements earlier this week, which will be headlined by Conor McGregor and Eddie Alvarez, Floyd Mayweather Jr. returned to the spotlight to try to promote his potential boxing match with the Irish sensation in the future.

Mayweather is currently retired from boxing, but apparently he is still hungry for more money. He sees an easy gateway to that by fighting McGregor, who’s a master in the MMA promotion game. As of today, “Mystic Mac” is the highest earning fighter in MMA and Mayweather thinks his success in the UFC is a “good thing.”

Mayweather said,

If he did take anything from me, if he did steal my blueprint then, I think it’s a good thing. I think he’s a hell of a fighter. He can fight. He can box real good. As far as stand up, he’s very good at standing up fighting. Everyone is asking me ‘are we going to fight’ and I just don’t know.

He also added,

I’m loving retirement, but for a couple more bucks you just don’t know.

McGregor returns inside the Octagon against Alvarez on November 12 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
