Former reigning UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre was last seen inside the Octagon three years ago when he defended the belt against Johny Hendricks at UFC 167.
Following the fight, GSP announced his short-lived retirement, and never entered the cage until last week to promote his upcoming middleweight bout with Michael Bisping. That’s right! GSP is now competing at 185-pounds for the first time in his MMA career and it won’t be an easy challenge to overcome. Bisping has been on a stunning winning streak since his victory over C.B. Dollaway at UFC 186. Then had four straight wins over top contender such as Thales Leites, Anderson Silva, Luke Rockhold, and defending the belt against Dan Henderson.
Bisping vs. St-Pierre is expected to headline UFC 213 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on July 8 as the culmination of International Fight Week. Stay tune to Yell! Magazine for much more updates to come.
