That fight that the boxing community doesn’t want you to see, including former professional boxer Oscar De La Hoya, is finally coming to fruition.
That’s right! Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Conor McGregor is going down this summer. According to multiple online sources, both fighters have confirmed the fight on social media. However, a venue for the epic boxing/MMA event has not been officially announced yet.
But UFC President Dana White, who helped negotiate the deal, confirmed it would take place at T-Mobile Arena and be contested at 154 pounds. Apparently, both fighters will wear 10-ounce gloves.
The Nevada commission approved August 26 for a Mayweather Promotions card Wednesday during its monthly meeting. So the fight between Mayweather and McGregor is now set in stone.
