UFC 168: Dana White Talks Anderson Silva vs. Roy Jones Jr., Fight Could Be Next

UFC 168: Weidman vs. Silva 2 is in three weeks and there’s already talk on who Anderson Silva could face next if he wins the rematch against Chris Weidman on December 28, 2013, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

According to UFC President Dana White, professional boxer Roy Jones Jr. will be attending the event again, which means Jones will be ready along side the Octagon to accept the match, if Silva decides to call him out after he wins:

These two drive me crazy. They drive me crazy. First of all, Roy Jones Jr. is a longtime friend of mine. When I was a 19-year-old kid in the boxing business, Roy Jones was very good to me. So I’m in this position where I feel like Roy wants to fight him, he wants to fight Roy – I feel like I’m in this position to try to make both of these guys happy. But it drives me crazy. I would love Roy Jones Jr. to focus on his next opponent and Anderson to focus on his. We’ll talk about all this stuff. I know Roy’s coming to the fight – we’ll see what happens.

Of course, if it officially goes down like that, the fight would be a “boxing match up under boxing rules to prove that MMA fighters are technical too.” Jones is currently in a camp for a tune-up fight in case the offer happens after UFC 168.
