Anderson Silva Willing To Be Assistant Coach With Chael Sonnen On TUF: Brazil

Anderson Silva, Chael Sonnen

The love/hate relationship between former UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva and No.10 ranked middleweight contender Chael Sonnen is still living deep inside them since UFC 148. However, it sounds like Sonnen needs more help from Silva these days than it would the other way around. And I can’t blame “The American Gangster” for trying to get Silva as assistant coach on TUF: Brazil since most of Brazil probably hates him by now, including opposing coach Wanderlei Silva.

Last Friday, Silva was officially invited to be on Team Sonnen, according to MMA Fighting‘s Ariel Helwani. Sonnen said:

I have officially invited Anderson to coach TUF: Brazil as part of my staff.

Silva’s longtime manager Jorge Guimaraes recently revealed that the former champion is actually willing to be assistant coach with Sonnen and also believes it would be fun for them to team up on the upcoming season of TUF: Brazil in 2014. But only if Silva’s schedule allows him to appear on the UFC reality show.

Right now, Silva is just concentrating on UFC 168 to regain the UFC middleweight strap and avenge his loss to Chris Weidman on December 28, 2013, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

So stay tune on Yell! Magazine for more updates on UFC 168 and TUF: Brazil.
