Three very familiar masked psychopaths are making a return in The Strangers 2, but this time they target a family on a roadtrip who are staying at a secluded mobile home park. Their every limit will be tested and things will definitely turn ugly again.
Following in the same footsteps as the successful predecessor, which grossed over $82 million worldwide, BLOOM will now handle the international rights to the sequel with a director already attached to the highly-anticipated project. British director Johannes Roberts (The Other Side of the Door, 47 Meters Down) is on board to helm from a script written by Bryan Bertino, who wrote and directed the original, and Ben Ketai.
Robert’s said,
Working with The Fyzz and Bloom to bring the brilliant set-up from the first movie to a new generation and deliver a powerful sequel is incredibly exciting.
The Fyzz Facility Pictures’ Wayne Marc Godfrey (The Foreigner, The Survivalist), Robert Jones (Centurion, The Usual Suspects), Mark Lane & James Harris (47 Meters Down, I Am Not A Serial Killer) are producing, in association with Relativity Media.
Casting is currently underway for The Strangers 2 with the US based shoot scheduled for the Summer.
